Deconstructing the Scam: How to Spot the Fake Poster

The fraudulent graphic circulating online is designed to deceive, but closer inspection reveals several critical red flags. Tophill Hospital management has identified the following fabrications used by the scammers:

  • Fake Hospital Name & Address: The fraudulent poster targets an upcoming "grand opening in Kapsabet, Nandi County" under a modified name ("Tophill Mission Hospital") and fake physical location to mislead unsuspecting applicants.

  • Fake Digital Channels: The scammers listed an illegitimate website address (www.tophillhospital.co.ke) and an unauthorized email account (tophillhospital4@gmail.com).
The Facts: Tophill Hospital’s true, official domain name is www.tophillhospital.com, and the official email correspondence channel is strictly tophillhospital@gmail.com.

  • Fabricated Leadership & Stamp: The poster features a completely forged hospital approval stamp. Furthermore, the individual signed at the bottom as Chief Executive Officer - "Dr. Joel K. Kirui" - is completely unknown and not verified within Tophill Hospital's network.

  • Made-Up Vacancies & Salaries: The graphic lists 11 different vacant positions alongside specific salary brackets to entice job seekers. This information is entirely made up. True vacancies are only announced via the official hospital portal (www.tophillhospital.com), which currently indicates that there are no open vacancies at the moment.

Protect Your Identity and Information

The fraudulent advertisement demands that applicants submit highly sensitive materials, including comprehensive CVs, cover letters, academic certificates, and national identity cards.

Surrendering these documents to unknown individuals creates a dangerous precedent, putting applicants at extreme risk of identity theft, data breaches, and financial extortion.

What You Should Do
  1. Do Not Apply: Do not send any emails or documents to the fake address provided in the poster.

  2. Do Not Send Money: Tophill Hospital never demands processing fees, background check fees, or medical evaluation money from job applicants.

  3. Report the Post: If you encounter this graphic on WhatsApp, Facebook, or any other social platform, flag or report it immediately as scam material to protect fellow job seekers.
